The Minolta Autocord 6x6 TLR Film Camera with Rokkor 75mm f3.5 Lens is a classic and versatile medium format photographic tool, boasting a rich history and a distinctive design. The Autocord TLR (Twin Lens Reflex) camera design is renowned for its unique viewing and focusing system. Each lens serves a distinct function: the taking lens, located centrally above the film plane, is responsible for focusing and capturing the image, while the viewing lens, situated on the top, provides an accurate and bright image for composition and focusing. This design allows for an intuitive and direct photographic experience, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned photographers.
The Rokkor 75mm f3.5 lens, a renowned Minolta optic, is attached to the Autocord camera. This prime lens boasts a moderate telephoto focal length, offering a wide enough field of view for landscapes and interiors while also providing the ability to capture portraits with an appealing depth of field. Its fast maximum aperture of f3.5 ensures that the lens gathers a substantial amount of light, enabling the user to shoot in various lighting conditions with ease.
The Autocord 6x6 TLR Film Camera also features a simple and straightforward user interface. The shutter speed is manually selected via a dial on the top of the camera, ranging from 1/500s to 1/2s and Bulb. The aperture settings can be adjusted using the lens, with values ranging from f3.5 to f32. Additionally, the camera comes equipped with a built-in light meter, enabling accurate exposure readings when using Sunny-16 film.
Constructed from high-quality materials, the Minolta Autocord 6x6 TLR Film Camera with Rokkor 75mm f3.5 Lens exudes a sense of durability and reliability. Its sleek and timeless design, coupled with its exceptional image quality, makes it a desirable addition to any photographic collection or a reliable companion for those seeking a return to the roots of analogue photography.

Cons:1. Manual focus: While manual focus offers creative control, it can be challenging for beginners or those who prefer the convenience of autofocus.
2. Size and weight: The larger 6x6 format and the TLR design make this camera bulkier and heavier than most 35mm film cameras.
3. Film cost: Larger film formats like 6x6 are more expensive than 35mm film, which can be a deterrent for some photographers.

Conclusion:The Minolta Autocord 6x6 TLR film camera with the Rokkor 75mm f3.5 lens is an excellent choice for photographers seeking high-quality images, creative control, and a unique photographic experience. Its build quality, manual focus, and 6x6 format make it a valuable addition to any photography collection. However, its size, weight, and film cost may be deterrents for some photographers. Ultimately, the decision to purchase this camera depends on your personal photographic preferences and shooting style.
Recommendation:If you're looking for a high-quality film camera that offers manual focus, a large negative format, and a unique viewfinder experience, the Minolta Autocord 6x6 TLR with the Rokkor 75mm f3.5 lens is an excellent choice. However, if you prefer a smaller, lighter camera or cannot accommodate the cost of larger film formats, other film cameras or digital alternatives might be more suitable for you.
Details:
Other than that its really in super shape. This is a really pristine autocord that I managed to snap the focus level off on. Functions work nicely, including the longer shutter speeds and self timer. Frankly i'm not sure it was ever used.
I think you're going to have a hard time finding nicer one provided you can fix the focus lever. Comes with the little adapter screens to shoot 4x4 if desired plus instruction booklet and box. This was the primary weak point on Minolta's and I wan't careful enough. The glass is cleaner than any i've seen in quite awhile.
The box I had to tape up on one corner. I still have it and its included of course but makes difficult to focus without reattaching somehow.
